Tata Indica

Best feature

I'm yet to find a good feature on the car.

Worst feature

So many things to complain about. I only had my brand new “out-of-the-box” car for a few months when the indicators stopped working completely. Shortly after that the speedometer stopped working which resulted in the odometer reading not working.
In my first year after purchasing the car, the car rusted so badly. I thought that it was because we lived close to the sea but then a colleague of mine said that her friend’s car rusted just as badly and she doesn’t live close to the sea. She said that the car was a real “rust bucket.”
The boot is very, very small there isn’t much space for large items. The car seats are hard and uncomfortable and there aren’t any cup holders.
The car is quite light so you feel every bump and easily gets swayed by strong winds, especially on open roads. The car is so bumpy it feels like there are no shock absorbers. Plus you feel really nauseous when you sit at the back of the car.
About 6 months into having the car, there was a strange clanking sound when the air con was switched on. I was told that it is common problem with Tata’s. So when I finally take the car in to be repaired it takes months for the part to arrive.
That is the other negative about Tata’s. the parts are not readily available. You wait forever for the parts to arrive and then you’re left with an irritating clanking sound constantly clanking inside your car.
I’ m lucky that my car is still under warranty otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford all of the repairs that have already been done to the car. I’ve been told that Tata parts are extremely expensive so I’m really not looking forward to my warranty expiring.
The car has devalued so badly that I will never be able to sell it for a worthwhile price. I will never get paid the value of the car.

Really not worth buying.
